The Clarendon Street Apartments are located in the Cupertino school district, just east of De Anza Boulevard.  Minutes within Highway 85 in San Jose.  The site includes 80 affordable apartments with bedroom size ranging from studios to 4 bedrooms.

This property, also known as Villa Garcia Apartments, was originally constructed in 1972 through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) 236 loan program and was developed by a non-profit entity named Villa Garcia, Inc.  In 1997 HUD identified the property as distressed and the Santa Clara County Housing Authority (SCCHA) assumed control of the existing non-profit and the property.  The property was then acquired by Clarendon Street, L.P. (Partnership) as part of a 4% tax-exempt bond financing transaction on November 8, 2012, with SCCHA as the bond issuer.  SCCHA rehabilitated the property and construction was completed on November 26, 2013.

The property is now an affordable, quality rental housing in a neighborhood with a high performing school district and various amenities
