1701 MLK provides 26 affordable homes including 12 HOPWA units, 2 units designed for residents with mobility impairments and 2 units designed for residents with auditory or visual impairments. All units are restricted to applicants who are either Homeless, At-Risk of Homelessness or Chronically Homeless. Apartments include Energy Star appliances, environmentally friendly flooring, individual bathrooms and kitchens in each unit. The design and construction incorporate sustainable green features and renewable technologies, including solar-assisted hot water and energy-efficient windows and appliances.
