The John Stewart Company is pleased to announce the launch of our 2017 Opportunities Program for Residents and dependents of JSCo employees.
The John Stewart Company’s Resident Opportunities Program was created to assist outstanding residents in John Stewart Company managed properties who are pursing educational goals that will help transform their lives. Among the recipients have been a high school senior from Richmond beginning an undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley to study alternative fuel sources, a resident in San Jose attending a vocational school to become an auto-mechanic with aspirations to own his own auto body shop, a single mother working as a full-time receptionist in San Francisco who wants to resume her studies at night in business finance and a Berkeley resident who emigrated from Yemen who is determined to be a human rights attorney.
The John Stewart Company’s Family Opportunities Program provides financial grants to the outstanding dependents of full-time Company employees. All employee dependents who are at least 17 years of age and either a senior in high school or participating in a public or private accredited college, university, approved vocational school, certification program or job-skills program are invited to apply. Program awards will consist of cash grants of up to $2,000 for tuition and school fees, books, supplies and other educational expenses.
Applications must be filled out completely, include all required support materials and be received at the JSCo Corporate office on or before the deadline of January 6, 2017.
Scholarship recipients will be announced at the JSCo Annual Conference in April 2017 and will be posted online at www.jsco.net by April 15, 2017.
